Helsingin Kalatalo Oy operates state-of-the-art food service facility Kalatalo in Kerava approximately 30km from Helsinki and less than 400km from St Petersburg. Kalatalo facility is built in 2012 and has the FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification.
In addition of being a modern fish processing facility Kalatalo has a central kitchen producing wide variety of different foods, e.g. fish based ready-meals. Our clients include all major retail chains operating in Finland, horeca chains and food brand companies.
Our main products are fish products (fresh, smoked, fried and salted), roe products (fresh, pasteurized and frozen roe) and ready-made-meals. All of our products are made out of premium quality ingredients.
We use both Finnish fish and fish from other Scandinavian countries. Our products stand out from the crowd due to their superior quality. We nourish the traditional way of cooking although we operate in a modern and industry scale facility build in 2012. As an example in our smoking process our five modern fish smoking ovens use only real wood chips and pure sea salt and we do not add any smoke flavors or other additives into our premium smoked fish products
